Welcome April ....

You’ve been on my mind.
I grow fonder every day,
Lose myself in time,
Just thinking of your face.
God only knows
Why it’s taken me so long
To let my
doubts go.
You’re the only one that I want.

I don’t know why I’m scared,
I’ve been here before.
Every feeling, every word,
I’ve imagined it all.
You’ll never know if you never try
To forgive your past and
simply be mine.

I dare you to let me be your, your
one and only.
Promise I’m
worthy to hold in your arms.
So come on and give me a chance
To prove that I’m the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts.

If I’ve been on your mind,
You
hang on every word I say,
You lose yourself in time at the mention of my name.
Will I ever know how it feels to hold you close?
And have you tell me
whichever road I choose, you’ll go?

I don’t know why I’m scared,
‘Cause I’ve been here before.
Every feeling, every word,
I’ve imagined it all.
You’ll never know if you never try
To forgive your past and simply be mine.

I dare you to let me be your, your one and only.
I promise I’m worthy to hold in your arms.
So come on and give me a chance
To prove that I’m the one who can
Walk that mile until the end starts.

I know it ain’t easy, giving up your heart.
I know it ain’t easy, giving up your heart.
(Nobody’s perfect, trust me I’ve learned it.)
I know it ain’t easy, giving up your heart.
(Nobody’s perfect, trust me I’ve learned it.)

Smart phones ....A great invention?

Elevate Brain Training .... an interesting App

This App is designed to improve your concentration,  oral expression,  reading speed, memory, listening tips and maths aptitudes.

Therefore, this App is divided into five areas: writing, listening, speaking, reading and maths. Then, every day you can train only three areas, but if you want to train more of them, you will have to pay extra money. I prefer to do it in the free way.
To start, you have to do a test to determine your Elevate Proficiency Quotient ( EPQ). There is five levels:
  • Novice (0 -1250)
  • Intermediate (1250- 2500)
  • Advanced (2500 – 3750)
  • Expert (3750 – 4250)
  • and Master ( 4750 – 5000)

Therefore, your training would be adjusted to your EPQ. I'll try to describe some of these games.

Reading:
  • Visualitation: this game helps you to broaden your vocabulary by creating visual associations and memory cues.

  • Agility: It helps you to expand your vocabulary and rapidly recall words. In this game you have to tap the matching word to keep a rocket flying. Also, you get some feedback if you don't pass the game.

What I like most about these games, is the simple but cute design.
  • Comprenhension: It helps you to analyze and understand more of what you read. This game starts when you read a selected story, then you have to tap each category (vocabulary, similitude, inference, deductions and a lot more) and answer the related question.

  • Processing: It helps you to read faster and the same time comprehend more while processing written information.
Speaking:
  • Memory: It helps you to retrieve words from memory faster, eliminating “on the tip-of-the tongue moments”. The game starts when you are given a definition, then you have to read it and then you have to use letters provided to recall the correct word, but the trick is that not all the letters will be used. The difficulty is to do it before time runs out.

  • Eloquence: It helps you to choose your words and tone more precisely. The game starts with a sentence where you have to replace the highlighted word to match the tone of the prompt on the screen. Then you must type as many alternate words as possible before the time runs out. The most important thing in this game, is that this helps you to avoid words that do not follow the prompt of the sentence.

  • Diction: It helps you to choose proper words and phrases to improve your speaking skills.

Listening:
  • Name Recall: It helps you to recall names and information to remember facts about people. Then when you have listened to the information, you have to drag names to the correct faces.

  • Retention: It helps you to improve your short-term memory while you are listening. This game starts when you listen to what a person does in a specific day, job, travel and so on. After that you have to tap on all of the correct answers to the question. Also, in this game you are given some tips to better remember better facts, information and so on.

Writing:
  • Brevity: It helps you to concisely articulate your thought, by avoiding redundancy in communication, for example:

In this sentence you have to tap an unnecessary word to make the sentence more concise.
  • Spelling: It helps you to eliminate spelling mistakes in your writing. You have to tap the selection that correctly completes the word mentioned above. This game has three categories: letters needed, single o double and miscellaneous. It finishes when all three rounds are done, and the progress meter is filled at the botton of the screen to win.
  • Syntax: It heps you to identify grammatical errors to improve your wrtiting skills.

Obviously you can find more games in this App, but for now I've only decribed few games....Well, I think that with all this information regarding  Elevate App, the ball is in your court...enjoy it!
